"The only thing that bothered me was that we waited so long to make this protest." PDF Print E-mail
Written by Boro Kitanoski

1st of December, 1955, was the day when an unknown African-American woman in Montgomery, Alabama refused to give up her bus seat to a white passenger. The bus driver had her arrested and she was tried and convicted of violating a local ordinance. But her lonely act of rebelion began a movement that ended legal segregation in America, and made her an inspiration to freedom-loving people everywhere.

The act done by Rosa Parks, “the mother of the civil rights movement” sparked a citywide boycott of the bus system by the black community in the town that lasted for 382 days. The boycott raised an to that time unknown person named Martin Luther King, Jr., to national prominence and resulted in the U.S. Supreme Court decision outlawing segregation on city buses.

Njemacki narod drema svoj dosadni san i time ohrabruje ove fašisticke kriminalce...
